Terms of Sale and Special Costs

1. Prices F.O.B. factory.
2. New Accounts First-time customers require prepay. All existing customers with established credit line are 1%- 10days, net 30 days.
3. Established Accounts For accounts with pre-approved credit lines we offer a 1% discount for payment made within 10 days, net to be paid promptly within 30 days.
4. Price Changes All prices are subject to change but orders will not be processed without prior authorization from customer.
5. Volume Discounts Prices for quantities greater than shown herein shall be quoted on request.
6. Co-op Policy A 50 unit minimum order is required for coop consideration. Proof of co-op is required and the specific terms of the co-op must be OK’d by us prior to processing of program.
7. Shipping All shipments are shipped best way unless we are notified to follow specific instructions. Shipments will be made to purchaser’s address unless another shipping address is provided in writing.
• PO Changes: Any changes to PO must be made 5 days prior to scheduled ship date.
• Drop ships: $10.00 (C) each. Special packaging is extra.
• Packaging: Individual boxes-

  • Folding Umbrellas: $4.00 (C) inserted
  • Patio/Market umbrellas:$6.50 (C) inserted
8. Returns & Claims Must be reported within 15 working days from receipt of merchandise and must have our RTA # prominently displayed. We reserve the right to turn away returns/claims not reported within our time frame.
9. Warranty Information We will repair or replace any defective umbrellas returned to us prepaid. This warranty applies to manufacturing defects only. Abuse and misuse are not covered. Warranty returns must have our RTA# prominently displayed.
10. Less than Minimum Quantities less than published minimum add $40.00 (C) LTM charge. 12 pcs. absolute min.
11. Samples Available at EQP & shipping. For in-stock items only.
12. Order Completion All orders considered complete with +/-5% overrun or underrun.
13. Pre-Production Proofs Rain Umbrellas: $50.00 (C) Patio & Market Umbrellas: $100.00 (C) plus cost of item, no. of imprints and screen(s). Add 2 weeks to normal delivery time.
14. Re-Order Setup / Screen $30.(C) per color; per design; within 18 months of prior order. Art saved 18 months.
15. Delivery Time is quoted from date of receipt of order, camera-ready art and terms.
16. Cancellations/Restocking 15% of order cost. No cancellation on imprinted merchandise.

 

Printing and Art Costs

• Umbrella case imprinting: Available on all items that come with a Nylon matching case. Imprint cost is $1.55 (C); one color only except on special overseas orders.
• 4-color process: Submit art for quotation.
• Type set: $42.00 (C).
• PMS match: $42.00 (C) per color, per design and reorders. We will mix inks as much as required to achieve your closest PMS match. With fabric printing an exact match cannot be guaranteed.
• Metallic ink: Additional charge of $1.50 (C) per location, per design. Standard metallic colors are:

Gold-PMS 871	Silver-PMS 877

• Art charges: $80.00 (C) per hour.
• Fax paper proofs: $7.50 (C).
• E-mail proofs (PDF-b&w): $17.00 (C).
• Virtual proofs (PDF-color): $25.00 (C).
• Copy change: $55.00 (C) per change plus cost of screens.
• Ink change: $42.00 (C) Minimum quantity per order is 25 pieces.
• Color selection: Prices are based on same item, same color per price break and same color imprint.
• Dye Lots: Certain color fabrics may vary from dye lot to dye lot.
• Wood Tone: Wood finish color on handles may vary from lot to lot.

 

Artwork Requirements

• All artwork must reference your PO number, your company name and the name of the actual artwork (name of logo).
• Conventional Art: Camera-ready, pure black & white, artwork to exact size of final imprint. No colors; no grays (half-tones).
• Electronic media: Is preferred and should be sent to our e-mail address: art@strombergbrand.com or sent on CD’s, clearly labeled.
• The following are acceptable:
• PC format -
  • Adobe Illustrator; convert text to outlines & save as Illustrator or EPS file. (Preferred)
  • Corel Draw; convert all text to curves.
  • TIFF; Black & white (line art) to final size at 300dpi - 600dpi, must be col. separated.
  • PDF; Black & white (line art) to size at 300dpi - 600dpi, must be col. separated if multiple colors are used. No half-tones. Compression— Use only Winzip if needed.
• Mac Format -
  • Adobe Illustrator; convert text to outlines & save as Illustrator EPS file in PC format.
• We do not accept - BMP, GIF, SIT or hard copy art that is not black & white (line art), to final size.Name file for the art it contains--- NEVER use just “UMBRELLA”or “ART”. Always include a PDF or color proof of what the finished file should look like.

Other Customizing Options

• Laser engraving: we can custom laser names or logos on any wooden umbrella handle. Artwork req. same as for umbrellas.
• Laser cost: Minimum quantity per order is 25 pieces. Same logo on all units.

  Names must be supplied on a disc as a Word file typed in a column exactly as they will appear when lasered (we can change font). Allow 5-7 additional working days for delivery.

• Re-order laser set-up: $80.00 (C).
• Medallions: $2.50 per color (C) each.100 pcs. min. Avail. on: TT30-A, TT30-S, TT30-C Background choice of White, Silver, or Gold.
• Medallion set-up: $150.00 (C).
• Medallion delivery: Allow 4 wks. extra.
• Medallion re-orders set-up: $125.00 (C) per color, per design.
