All umbrellas are not created equal so when you consider buying umbrellas you should consider what goes into them. A look at the illustration below will give you a snapshot of what a quality umbrella should have in its parts.
FABRIC:
We use only the best grade of Umbrella Cloth. Minimum of 190 threads per sq. in. and a waterproof coating.
RIBS & FRAME:
We use a variety of materials including:
Oil tempered spring-steel
Fiberglass
Aluminum
Some frames have a baked epoxy finish and some use all fiberglass construction.
TIPS:
Our umbrellas are always tipped with one of a variety of choice materials depending on the styling. These include metal, wood or color-matched polymers.
POLES (SHAFTS):
Wooden poles are kiln dried hardwoods with polyurethane coatings to resist weather and warping. Metal poles are thick-walled, chrome plated or powder coated steel. Fiberglass poles are extra thick-walled and filled with resin for added strength.
HANDLES:
"The handle makes the umbrella" is often heard in our business. We pay particular attention to the quality of our handles which may be made of hardwoods, space-age polymers or custom materials. Most of our handles can be personalized in our laser shop.
